WASHINGTON - Chuck Brown, the Godfather of of Go-go, has died, ABC 7 reports. He was 75.

Brown, a Washington D.C. native, is regarded as the fundamental force behind the creation of Go-go music. He began his career in the 60s and is best known for songs “I Need Some Money” and “Bustin’ Loose.”

For every Nationals home run, “Bustin’ Loose” is played at the ball park. Fans voted it the home run song.

Last week, he was admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he was treated for pneumonia. Originally, he had complained of arthritis pain.

Channel 9 reports Hopkins’ doctors discovered, and removed, blood clots in his legs.
