Nicki Minaj has addressed her feud with Hot 97′s Peter Rosenberg for the first time, saying she stands by her and boss lil wayne’s decision.
The Young Money princess was furious when the DJ slammed her single ‘Starships‘ as “bulls**t,” just hours before she was due to headline the radio station’s Summer Jam event. More details below……..
“I’m a genuine person, I love you, I love you, I hate you, I hate you, there’s really no in between with me. So I was so excited and so passionate to go to my hometown.”
“I’m really proud that Wayne stood up and said, ‘not anymore.’ I’m glad Flex and I were able to talk about it and stuff, but at the end of the day Tim, in the last 18 months I sold 3.5 million albums worldwide… at a certain point, you just want respect, you’re working hard.”
Nicki also pointed out that Weezy performed at the music event the year before, but wasn’t blasted for performing ballad ‘How To Love’ on which he sings in autotune.
“The year before that, Wayne performed ‘How To Love’ at Summer Jam. No one said anything. So, my thing is the guys do treat the guys different. Maybe they feel Nicki Minaj is something to be played with,” she explained.
“It should just be love, you have your opinions on the radio and all that, but when the artist is coming to perform you should just keep it to yourself. Just for that one day.”
Nicki later added that she is “cool” with Hot 97 and is ready to move on from the drama.
